(repost) im a.. gulp... ADULT!!!
UMMM i was supposed to post this a week after my bday but im posting it now a month later LMAO
This is definitely a very wacky blog post because I’ll just be rambling about what happened on my birthday ,, Not rlly much existential thingys to be said (because normally I’d like to write my blogs that way)
I’ve anticipated for the day to come that I will finally turn 18. yippay i guess??? I dunno, it just feels strange entering legality, like holy shit I could go to prison now. But aside from that I feel pretty excited for the most part because I can finally start a bank account and use real adult money for cool adult toys like Transformers figures!!1
Before the party started, me and my aunt went on a little errand to our cathedral and to get my cake. After church, I get to ask the priest to bless me for turning 18 which was so sweet, another guy who was celebrating his birthday too came with me.
My birthday wasn’t much, it was night time, I had friends over, and we hosted the party at my house. It was a combination of my birthday and my aunt’s because hers was a whole week later, she thought of it herself that we’d share the same birthday to cut costs for another birthday, which was fine by me.
This was a very typical birthday which I am very grateful for to get one! I say “typical” because the “norm” for Filipina girls reaching 18 is having a big birthday party called a Debut and it works similarly to a Quinceañera but with some events like 18 roses or 18 dances. I mentioned this because my mom kept asking if I really wanted a Debut, which I said no to always, because its TOO expensive and also cus I feel too shy being in the spotlight, plus with a bunch of relative or friends around oh my goodness that feels like too much.
Never mind a “debut I never had”, I seriously wouldn’t trade that day for the world because I GOT MY FRIENDS TO WATCH TRANSFORMERS ONE!!!!!!! LETS GOOOOOOOO
Beforehand I’ve already kept teasing them about watching the movie on my birthday and they have no choice but to go with it because it’s night and some of us can’t go out to eat. Actually, there weren’t much to do on that day other than watch the movie and open presents. It was very nice of them to gift me stuff even though I didn’t think they will. But they enjoyed it, they had a few laughs and sometimes asked me about the characters or movie in general which I was very eager to answer. That one scene of revealing Megatron and Optimus still gave me chills down my spine. Little to say other than they actually liked it!! It means SO much to me because Transformers is literally everything to me and they watched the movie and I am so happy genuinely I was close to exploding RAHHHHH I even asked them to rate the movie out of 10 and they replied with 8-9/10 WHICH IS AWESOME BTW
the gifts my friend gave <3 Seriously that day meant a lot to me simply for all the people there that attended to celebrate my birthday, and to also watch Transformers One (aka the best Transformers movie to have ever been made in the franchise ever)! Ok call me cheesy now but I am very grateful for my friends and to even receive gifts from them like ugh I’m so blessed
